GRS Group Performs Services on Historic Office Buildings in Downtown Seattle

GRS Group recently performed a suite of services on the acquisition of two historic office buildings in downtown Seattle by Phoenix-based Hannay Realty Advisors.  The total asset value exceeds $23 Million.

The 114-year-old Broderick Building is a 70,000 square foot iconic structure registered as a National Historic Place.  Located in Seattle’s CBD, it was one of the first large commercial buildings completed after the great fire of 1889.  During the early 1900’s, the building was known as the Railway Exchange Building.  It housed various railway and steamship companies and professional offices. In 1930, Henry Broderick bought the building and, for forty years, he ran a thriving real estate management and development company from an office prominently located on the ground floor.

The Miken Building, at 52,400 square feet, is directly associated with the early twentieth century developmental era (1920-1930) when a significant number of commercial buildings were constructed and the modern downtown commercial district was fully established.

GRS Group services included Environmental Assessments, Property Condition Reports, MEP Assessments, and Seismic PNL.  GRS | Corteq director, Gary Sirota, spearheaded the service package.
